Hi, I'm Ginny 

Welcome to my Studio!

I'm a painter, wife to my teacher/coach husband, mother of two teenagers, and our dog Memphis the English Springer Spaniel. We live in middle TN and I paint in my studio, which was meant to be our dining room and is right in the heart of our home.

I don't remember a time when art and creativity wasn't a part of life. I grew up in a home full of art making and story telling. I come from a long line of women who were artists and creatives and way ahead of their time for pursuing their passions. 

My style of art is winsome and illustrative. I create whimsical paintings full of nostalgia for a simpler time, focusing on ordinary moments and subjects that have a story to tell. I enjoy focusing on the beauty in the ordinary and everyday parts of our lives. 

I love painting!

Actually, I love the whole process from creative ideas and rough sketches to creating collections, releasing work into the world and even the business side of things. Painting and having a creative business are the perfect combination for me.

 

 

 I believe that Art is timeless and for everyone. We can create a home that is undeniably ours when we fill every room with art.

favorite artists: Monet (he painted the way I saw things in my dreams), and I'm truly fascinated by Van Gogh and Matisse!

dream goals: have a gallery exhibit at the Hunter Museum in Chattanooga (my grandmother had an exhibit there in the 80's and I would love to follow in her footsteps), illustrate a children's book, and have a studio space where people can visit
