"Here is my secret. It is quite simple. One sees clearly only with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye." -The Little Prince
Confidence is starting to take over. Not that those feelings of inadequacy or fear don't creep in, but I'm starting to see the world with new eyes.
I feel like that's my job as an artist, to make the unseen, seen. To give the viewer new eyes to see the world.
"The nature of the creative process is prophetically gluing together the seen and the unseen." -Matt Toomey
Sometimes I see the world in it's ugly rawness, and I want to ignore this broken world, but I have to remember to return to the beauty, the hope that there is more to this life than what I can see with my eyes.
Dawn is defined as the first appearance of daylight, the beginning of anything. It also means to begin to be perceived. It's the arising of a new thing, a new morning, a new viewpoint, a new thought.
Dawn is an original painting with pencil and acrylics. It's 14"x14"x1 1/2" on gallery wrapped canvas. Visit more of the Emerging collection.
